You do not have to wait for the lithium battery to be fully charged.

However, once the lithium battery is fully charged close up the lids of the solar charger, put the unit in your handbag or pocket and take it wherever you go - on the beach, in the mountains, on your farm, on safari, in a foreign country, (No more plug adaptor problems) at home or at the office - can provide up to 50 minutes of talk time depending on the handset.
